I had 7+ Taskbar Tweaker installed with no problem in Windows 10, but after the upgrade to 11, I got an error message saying it couldn't start, possibly because it "wasn't compatible with this version of Windows." I uninstalled it and installed the latest version (5.12.3) but the problem remains. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling Explorer Patcher, but nothing changes. "Properties" is no longer an option when I right click the task bar. I click on it, and the highlighted button just gets a few shades darker. Now I have a Windows 10 start icon but can't open the start menu. I then right clicked on the taskbar & selected "properties." For format, I selected Windows 10. No prompt for elevation or any indication it was installing - it just dumped me to the desktop and reloaded what programs I had open (I believe Firefox, possibly Notepad and Explorer). While it seems like it was an accidental server issue, this is quite the major bug for Microsoft to experience. Create a new admin user account using Command Prompt and use it temporarily in place of your own account to ensure you still have access to your PC.In Control Panel, uncheck Synchronize with an Internet time server and change the date to a date few days ahead of today and then restart and change the time back to current. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del, Select TaskManager, then Select More Details. Try going to Windows Update > Update history, uninstalling the latest cumulative update for Windows, and the reinstall it by checking for updates.We suggest you go for Microsoft’s own fix first and try these at your own risk.
