Luckily it doesn't really affect much, I got it with Sebille and ignored it, never picked the dialogue choices that opened up from that tag.Looking for a Group to play with? Try this thread || Discussion Overview It's only slightly better than systems like in Mass Effect. Slapping a hero tag for these decisions makes your character seem very one dimensional. I might side with the Elf because my character is an Elf and I stick up for them while being a cold blooded murderer otherwise, I might rescue the Magister on the ship because I figure it'll be good to have a Magister in my debt, I might kill Griff and his thugs and free Amyro simply because one of them knows a way to escape and thus is useful and the other isn't. I'm admittedly biased against it because I don't like the very idea of these tags as it's almost a form of alignment and I feel that stuff like this limits roleplaying way too much. You don't have to do all this stuff to gain the tag though. On the first point I gotta say I feel like almost everyone will do this on their first playthrough from a metagaming perspective, no one wants to risk not having the companions because you left them to die. (This triggers his humourous final words.) Tell Delorus he can rot with the other Magisters. Tell Magister Yarrow about Migo and then kill her while she cries over Migo's body. Give Migo the yarrow flower then kill him. (Griff will send an assassin after Stingtail, but if you want to do Sebille's quest you'll have a small window to engage in dialogue with him and continue the quest as normal.) He must be alive for this so put Sebille's quest on hold for now. (This also means killing Ifan so give this a miss if you want him in your party.) You must be playing as a non-human for this to work. Trick Unnis into giving you everything she has. This obviously requires going back to rescue the party members. Kill Magister Siwan or abandon her to her fate through dialogue. Give a Yarrow flower to Migo and then reunite him with his daughter. He'll give you a playing card which you can use during the card game with Griff's thugs. He's the guy being looked after by Doctor Leste near the entrance to Saheila's cave. Refuse to give up Stingtail to Griff (note he must be alive for this to work, so don't do Sebille's quest until afterward). Rescue Magister Siwan through dialogue after rescuing the others. Go back down to the hold and rescue the other party members. This is for those players that want either (or both) these tags quickly so they can better roleplay their characters as a paragon of heroism or a champion of villainy with the unique dialogues these tags bring. So after a lot of testing, I can safely say these methods are the quickest and easiest ways to get either the Hero or Villain tags in Act 1.
